Systematic popularization of educational and scientific activities on various media platforms are one of the crucial areas of work of the International Scientific Research Centre DSR of EKTU, named after D. Serikbayeva. Recently, Zhanna Aubakirova, the Head of the DSR, PhD of History, and Associate Professor, participated in a webinar as an expert for a popular YouTube channel in Kazakhstan. In the webinar dedicated to demographic processes in Kazakhstan, Zhanna spoke about global trends in reproductive behaviour and the impact of urbanization processes on fertility rates.
The ALTAI TV channel released a special edition of the program “Zhana Kazakhstan” dedicated to Science Day. Eleonora Stolyarova, PhD of Social Sciences and Chief Researcher at the International Research Center DSR, was invited to the live broadcast as a guest.
During the engaged dialogue, many important and relevant topics were raised, such as the role of science in the modern world, social changes on the example of several generations of Kazakhstan, questions and concerns arising in society in the context of the information revolution, new approaches to professional training and economic accomplishments of young people. Eleonora spoke about the research centre's work, the achieved results and prospects for further research, and also expressed hope for a successful partnership between scholars and the government in solving socio-economic problems.
