The International Laboratory for Population and Health Research invites you to take part in the seminar "Demographic development of Kazakhstan in the late 20th - early 21st centuries (state and problems)".

The seminar will feature two reports on the following topics.

 

"Main trends in the demographic development of Kazakhstan: history and state"

Speaker: Alekseenko Alexander, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Leading Researcher, ISRC "DSR" of the EKTU named after D. Serikbayev, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan

Topic to be delivered: The size and ethnic composition of the population of Kazakhstan (1959-2021). Population reproduction. Migration processes. Stages of demographic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Age structure. Assessment of the current ethnodemographic situation.

 

"Assessment of the level of demographic security of Kazakhstan: risks, threats and potential"

Speaker: Aubakirova Zhanna, PhD in history, head of the ISRC "DSR" of the EKTU named after D. Serikbayev, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan

Topic to be delivered: Demographic potential. Analysis of factors influencing the emergence of potential risks and real demographic threats. Indicative system of the level of demographic security. Demographic security scales. Regional features. Presentation of the demographic information portal statdata.info.
