D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU) completed a research internship at the Faculty of Chemistry of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin, Poland. The delegation included Professor Zhanat Kabylbekovna Idrisheva, PhD student Togzhan Shalkaruly Toktaganov, and student Altay Yeltayuly Nurpeissov. The internship was conducted within the framework of the NAWA PROM academic mobility programme, which aims to promote international scientific cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and experience.
The PROM programme, implemented by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), supports short-term international academic mobility for students, doctoral candidates, and academic staff, while strengthening partnerships between higher education institutions.
During the internship, the EKTU delegation met with the leadership of the Faculty of Chemistry and the Institute of Chemical Sciences at UMCS to discuss prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation, academic mobility, and joint research projects. The delegation also met with the Vice-Rector for Students and Quality of Education, Dorota Kołodyńska, where the participants exchanged experience in organizing the educational process and explored opportunities for further cooperation.
In addition, the delegation visited the Analytical Laboratory of the Faculty of Chemistry, where they became acquainted with the university's modern scientific equipment, research infrastructure, and laboratory capabilities. The internship enabled participants to exchange academic and research experience, establish new professional contacts, and identify promising areas for future collaboration between the two universities.
The internship marked another important step in strengthening the partnership between D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University and Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. It contributed to the exchange of scientific and educational experience, the development of international cooperation, and the creation of new opportunities for joint research projects, academic mobility, and the training of highly qualified specialists.
