On November 7–8, 2025, the D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University hosted a regional round table titled “Regional Dialogue: Youth in the Implementation of Kazakhstan’s Climate Policy.”
The event was held within the framework of LCOY Kazakhstan 2025 - the national youth conference that is part of the global youth process under the YOUNGO constituency of the UNFCCC Secretariat — and supported the goals of the national environmental movement “Taza Qazaqstan” (Clean Kazakhstan), aimed at fostering environmental awareness and engaging the public in addressing climate and environmental challenges.
The round table was organized with the support of the EKSTU Office for Sustainable Development, in partnership with United Central Asian Professionals (Public Foundation “Water Partnership of Kazakhstan”), Climate for Us, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Kazakhstan, and CAN WEECA.
The main objective of the round table was to create a dialogue platform for engaging young people of East Kazakhstan in climate initiatives and developing proposals for adaptation and mitigation of climate change impacts at the regional level.
