A festive atmosphere prevailed in the walls of D. Serikbayev EKTU on the eve of the national holiday "Nauryz". Y.Y.Gorban, a senior lecturer of the Language Competence Center, together with the English club and the students of 23-MK-1 and 23-MKK-1 groups organized a bright and memorable event dedicated to this significant event.
A special guest was a teacher from the USA, Colin Lamfier, a Fulbright scholar. As part of the holiday, students demonstrated Kazakh national costumes, performed traditional dances, presented national games, and rituals. They sang a song "Nauryz - Duman", symbolizing joy and festive mood.
Mr. Colin actively participated in the event, tasted the Kazakh national dish, played the dombra, and even danced "Kara Zhorga". He expressed gratitude for the invitation and wished everyone good luck in the new year.
The event delighted all those present and helped the students not only share the cultural heritage of their people, but also strengthen friendly ties. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the arrival of the vernal equinox and wish everyone happiness, health, and well-being.
