On March 12, 2026, D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU) hosted a scientific seminar featuring Alexander V. Mironenko, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Affiliate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign (USA).
The seminar was attended by faculty members, PhD students and research staff of the university.
During the seminar, Professor Alexander Mironenko presented current research trends in chemical and biomolecular engineering, sharing insights into his scientific work and international research experience.
The event also served as a platform for discussing current scientific challenges and exchanging professional expertise. Particular attention was given to the prospects for developing scientific cooperation between D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University and the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, as well as opportunities for conducting joint research with Professor Alexander Mironenko.
Participants noted that such meetings with international scholars play an important role in strengthening academic ties, expanding international collaboration, and promoting the development of joint research initiatives.
