The Business School of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU) organized an international round table titled «Sharing Economy and Digital Transformation: New Models of Sustainable Development in the Context of Global Turbulence» The event was held as part of the implementation of the grant-funded project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Grant No. AR19676547) «Introducing the Principles of the Sharing Economy into the Economic System of Kazakhstan to Implement the National Concept of Sustainable Development».

Scholars and experts from Kazakhstan, Russia, Spain, and Italy took part in the discussion. Participants examined current trends in economics and management, models of collaborative consumption, green intellectual capital, circular economy practices, digital literacy, as well as the social and regional factors of sustainable development.

Special attention was given to the influence of digital transformation on consumer behavior, urban development, the labor market, and the innovation activity of regions. Both theoretical approaches and practical international cases were presented, including projects related to environmentally responsible management of electronic waste.

Following the round table, participants emphasized the importance of integrating digital technologies, environmental initiatives, and new economic models to achieve Kazakhstan's strategic goals for sustainable development.
