Change begins not with laws, but with ideas. Today's youth are shaping the face of tomorrow. The participation of universities in the 3.2.1.Start! project is not just a step toward a "green campus" - it is the creation of a new culture of responsibility and leadership.

D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU) is a shining example of how a university can become a driver of sustainable change. Our university actively engages students in environmental initiatives, implements sustainable practices, conducts plastic collection campaigns, and teaches future engineers, scientists, and leaders to be not only professionals, but also conscious citizens.

We strive to create a world without plastic waste. We sort plastic containers. We bring them to eco-boxes, deposit them into reverse vending machines, or drop them off at eco-points. We take part in community clean-ups.

During the past academic year, we collected and handed over plastic containers to our partner - the EcoVostok Lider company. The environmental club "Clover" and the EKTU curator of the 3.2.1.Start! project, Yekaterina Strokova, accompanied the latest batch of collected plastic to the company's storage facility. Students saw and confirmed that all the plastic is collected, compressed, and sent to recycling plants.

Every plastic bottle sent for recycling is a contribution to a cleaner city, a cleaner Kazakhstan, and a cleaner world.
